House Music
n We received an amazing number of entries in this year’s House Music competition, with over half the boys at the school submitting an entry! Well done to everyone who took part – you all performed with fabulous confidence and energy. A special mention must go to our Highly Commended musicians who showed us some brilliant musicality and potential. We heard from our eight finalists who played in a live event to the Junior School and parents. It was a wonderful occasion, and all boys should be immensely proud for performing in front of a large group of people. We were treated to a variety composers and genres with an incredible high quality of music-making heard throughout. Our third place House was Sidney with Otis’s wonderfully skilled performance of Here Comes the Sun and Howard came in second with JJ’s beautiful execution of Chanson with excellent use of vibrato and harmonics. Aidan won first place for Spenser with a masterful and mesmerising performance of Mira by Stephen Montague.
