What I did: Review, write and approve auto physical damage estimates. Assists in reviewing photos and estimates from subrogation demands. Communicate to shops regarding repair and supplemental damages. Other duties and projects assigned within the Auto Physical Damage Claims department. What I liked: I really liked how hands-on my internship was. I got to review auto damage estimates, look over photos for subrogation demands, and talk directly with repair shops, which helped me build real communication and problem solving skills. It felt good to apply what I’ve learned in school to actual claims work. I also enjoyed the work environment, SECURA showed me the importance of finding a balance between working hard and having fun. Overall, the experience helped me gain confidence. Future Dream Job: CFO.
