Whether you are attending to learn, collaborate, or to simply be involved, we are confident that you will find value in every aspect of this conference. Ralph Abraham, MD Louisiana Surgeon General

Healthcare's Changing Landscape in Louisiana Drs. Abraham and Coleman will discuss the new roles they are taking on with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) and how that will the change the way the department works. Ralph L. Abraham, MD leads the state’s largest agency with a budget of $19.8 billion and a team responsible for delivering services to millions of Louisianans. Dr. Abraham is a practicing family medicine physician in Richland Parish and a former three term Congressman for Louisiana’s 5th Congressional District. Throughout his almost 30 year career in medicine, Dr. Abraham has seen firsthand the many healthcare challenges facing Louisiana. Wyche Coleman, III, MD is a board certified Ophthalmologist who practices in Northwest Louisiana. Dr. Coleman prides himself in delivering strong, ethical and thorough patient care in eye disease and surgery. Growing up the son of a rural family practitioner, Dr. Coleman has stayed true to his roots by spending a portion of his week seeing patients in Coushatta, Mansfield, and Many, Louisiana. He is excited for this next challenging role in his career.
