Impact Donor Report 2025

For many of our supporters, giving to Dulwich College isn’t a one-off gesture - it’s a lasting commitment. We spoke to three of our regular giving donors to learn what motivates their continued support, and what Dulwich still means to them today.

Every year, over half of our bursary donations come from regular givers - those who give monthly or annually. This ongoing support is crucial: it allows the College to plan ahead, commit to multi-year bursary places and respond to urgent needs with confidence. “I give monthly to Dulwich College because I want other boys to have the same opportunities I had - even if, like me, their families couldn’t otherwise afford a school like this. Setting up a monthly direct debit means I don’t have to think about it, and it allows the school to plan with greater certainty.” Jon Guinness OA (88-96) has been giving monthly since 2020.

“I give because my uncle, Brian Clark OA (37–43), supported my fees when I was at the College. He also gave back as a bursary donor and member of the Canon Carver Society, and I want to continue that legacy. That’s why I’ve been giving to the bursary fund by standing order since 1988.” Tim Havenhand OA (74–83) has supported Bursaries with unwavering commitment, giving by standing order since 1988. His monthly gift - increased from £15 to £30 - together with several one-off donations, has now exceeded £20,000 in total.

£16.19* a month for 10 years donates £2,000 to the Bursary Fund. Enough to contribute toward bursary enrichment – books, uniforms and co-curricular participation.

Small but mighty

A quarterly gift of £250 supports co-curricular costs - including sports kits, instrument hire, or art supplies - helping every pupil take full advantage of Dulwich life.

Milestone moments

“I look back fondly on my time at Dulwich College and am proud of its commitment to funded places. Giving back through a regular direct debit is a simple way to help others access the same opportunities I had.” Ope Runsewe OA (00-07) has been giving monthly since 2015.

A termly gift of £1,619* for 7 years funds 25% of a fully-funded bursary, supporting a pupil from Year 7 to Year 13.

Bursary pathway support

Just 9 donors giving a £5,000* gift funds an entire two-year Sixth Form bursary place.
