scte BURSARY REPORT My IBC Journey as an SCTE Bursary Winner by Flutura Sadiku, IT Specialist/Consultant at ARDING IBC2025 Bursary Award Winner
When I learned that I had once again been selected as an SCTE Bursary winner for IBC2025, six years after my first award back in 2019, I felt an immense sense of gratitude and pride. Returning to Amsterdam was both nostalgic and inspiring, a reminder of how much the broadcasting and broadband industry has evolved, and how much I have grown along with it. Although my journey started with a few hiccups, including a delayed flight that caused me to miss the drinks reception in the Partners Village celebrating the Society’s 80th anniversary, I quickly caught up with the SCTE team over the following days. The warmth and sense of belonging that came from being part of the SCTE community reminded me once again why I value this network so much. As one of three bursary winners from Kosovo, I felt proud to represent not only my company and my country, but also women in technology. The SCTE team, members, and fellow bursary recipients made me feel genuinely welcomed and encouraged to stay actively involved with the Society’s initiatives and events.
