Inappropriate combinations of optical density and resistance category, particularly a high level of optical density in combination with an insufficient resistance category, should not be used. Laser Filters for Loupes are made ONLY for use with the laser wavelengths marked on the lens. WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS Laser Filters for Loupes are intended ONLY for protection against accidental exposure to laser radiation. With our long experience in laser safety, Univet filters give you reliable protection, comfort, and safety against laser radiation during dental procedures. IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION FOR MAGNIFICATION SYSTEMS Scientific research has demonstrated that when using portable magnifying systems (such as Galilean or prismatic loupes) together with laser sources, the optical properties can modify the effective exposure level compared to naked eye viewing. We want to assure you that Univet protective filters continue to function according to their certified specifications in all circumstances. However, these optical conditions should be properly evaluated to ensure optimal protection for your specific application. A consultation with a qualified Laser Safety Officer can help confirm the most suitable protection solution for your needs.
SIMPLE SAFETY STEPS For your protection when using magnifying systems with laser sources: » Consider the effects of magnification when assessing your laser protection needs » Consult with a Laser Safety Officer (LSO) about your specific setup » Select appropriate protection based on your complete working environment
