Instructions for use
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS - USE WITH LOUPES 1. Preparation » Wear your loupes or eyewear ensuring they are fully and properly seated on your face » Verify that the Laser Filter for Loupes is clean and free from damage (cracks, scratches, deformations) » Select the filter with the correct optical density for the laser being used 2. Installation » H old the Laser Filter for Loupes using the ergonomic “grasping tabs” with textured rubber surfaces » With the filter facing forward, gently lower it into a comfortable and effective position between your eyewear and your face » Position the filter comfortably and securely 3. Verification » E nsure the Laser Filter for Loupes sits firmly in the loupes or eyewear USAGE PRECAUTIONS Before Use: » ALWAYS check the filter for damage prior to use » Any cracked, pitted, or scratched filter should be immediately replaced » Ensure the filter fits correctly and securely prior to use » Verify you are using the correct variant for the specific laser (see optical density table) » Check that the filter is compatible with your loupe model The selection of appropriate protection must be based on both the optical density necessary to reduce incident laser exposure to a safe level and the ability to withstand the incident laser exposure without failure as indicated by the resistance category. Inappropriate combinations of optical density and resistance category, particularly a high level of optical density in combination with an insufficient resistance category, should not be used. Laser Filters for Loupes are made ONLY for use with the laser wavelengths marked on the lens. WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS Laser Filters for Loupes are intended ONLY for protection against accidental exposure to laser radiation. NEVER use laser eye protection to look deliberately into the source of laser radiation. Such viewing may damage the protector and result in serious injury. » Verify that eyes are completely covered before laser use » Check that the filter does not interfere with field of view » Confirm complete orbital coverage from all angles
