Payroll Deductions The Financial Services Department will withhold from an employee’s earnings those deductions required by law, VOP approved and employee-authorized deductions such as premiums for insurance benefits, 401(k) loans, and others permitted by law. Garnishments and Support Orders The VOP will comply with all valid claims against the wages of employees. If a wage garnishment, child support order, or other legally valid claim is received against your wages, you will be notified of the amount and details of the garnishment or wage order as required by law. While you may attempt to work out your financial difficulties with your creditor in such a situation, the VOP is required to comply with the provisions of the garnishment notice or order, as soon as possible after it is received to ensure compliance with applicable law. Employee Referral Program The Village seeks to hire top quality candidates when a vacancy occurs, and appreciates recommendations made by existing employees. If you recommend someone who is hired into a regular full-time or regular part-time position and successfully completes their introductory period, you are eligible to receive a referral bonus. This may be changed from time-to-time depending upon the existing market conditions. Refer to the Employee Referral Program Policy for additional details.
