This policy statement serves to express management's commitment and involvement in providing our employees a safe and healthy workplace. This workplace safety program will be incorporated into the Village’s policies as a condition of employment.
Safety Program Goals The goals of the safety program are to provide Department Directors, Supervisors and Employees of the Village with the following: • A safe working environment that protects employees from job-related injuries or impairments; • Training and education in the prevention of accidents and other safety-related matters; • Emergency medical procedures and emergency plans as established; • Good housekeeping and sanitation; • Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations regarding employee safety; and • Accurate record-keeping of worker safety issues; training records; and employee safety files.
