Covid Restrictions Business Support Scheme: Part B: Northern Ireland 7 December 2020 A new Covid Restrictions Business Support Scheme (CRBSS) has been established by the Department for the Economy. This has been set up in order to provide support to any businesses who are directly affected by the Northern Ireland Health Protection Regulations, which were implemented on Friday 16 October 2020. Any businesses in the supply chain who have been forced to shut or substantially limit their operations due to the increased Health Protection Regulations that came into force on 16 October 2020 and on 27 November 2020 can apply to the scheme, should they meet the eligibility criteria.

Businesses that operate from business premises should check their eligibility to apply for the Localised Restrictions Support Scheme.

Any companies who have already made an application for the CRBSS: Part B are not required to submit another application. Grants under the scheme will be made to any successful applications for the period that the restrictions apply until 23:59 on 10 December 2020.

The scheme is administered by Invest NI on behalf of the Department for the Economy (DfE).

The scheme will operate in two parts:

• Part A – Businesses required to close or to stop trading under the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (No.2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020, that are not eligible for the Localised Restrictions Support Scheme
