In Arizona they visited with Mrs. Iva Lauber, ’27, at Houck, and with Iris E. Schwartz, ’39, at Lupton. The Nav ajo recordings sent out by Joy Rid- derhof were found to be very useful in the work, e s p e c i a l l y for Miss Schwartz, as she has po interpreter with her, and cannot speak the lan guage herself. Thus the only means she has of getting out the gospel to the Navajos in her vicinity is by playing the records, and the Indians come and sit for hours listening to the gospel story in song and testimony. Ellwyn and Mrs. Odell (Evelyn Wal den, ’32) are living in Ellensburg, Wash., where Mr, Odell is teaching at the Central Washington College of Educa tion.
