DoW Maintenance Symposium Session Charts Now Available Shawn Harrison

For those who attended the “Forward Maintenance and Repair: Pathways to Deterrence (Regional Sustain - ment Framework +)” session at the Department of War (DoW) Maintenance Symposium on Jan. 21, 2026, the charts are now posted to the symposium website . The panel, which featured four DoW Senior Executive Service members, a representative of the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence, and an industry executive, discussed the next steps for the Regional Sustainment Framework to ensure the Joint and Combined force is sustained and ready to overcome contested logistics environments. Also available from the symposium are the Jan. 20, 2026, Condition-Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) meeting charts . According to the presentation, CBM+ is the DoW initiative to improve the reliability, maintainability, and operational availability of weapon systems and encompasses the use of enabling technologies to bet - ter understand weapon system performance and improve repair processes. It enables improved ability to predict failures, forecast requirements, troubleshoot and repair systems, utilize advanced manufacturing practices, and provide training to maintainers in an augmented reality environment.

Workday Federal Forum Workday Federal Forum will take place April 28 at the Wal- dorf Astoria in Washington, D.C. The 2026 military equipment, systems, services, and technology exposition is open exclusively to Marines, DoW, association partners, and authorized industry representa- tives. GITEC’26 Forum The Government Information Technology Executive Council (GITEC’26) Forum will take place May 3–5 at the Omni Char- lottesville Hotel in Charlottesville, Va. This event convenes senior federal leaders, industry innovators, and academic experts to explore the path forward for secure, data-driven, and AI-enabled government operations. Over two and a half days of collaboration, attendees will examine how cyberse- curity, zero trust, artificial intelligence, generative AI, and digital modernization are converging to advance mission outcomes and strengthen public trust.
