United States Defends Space Interests in Partnership With Allies: CSpO Initiative to Advance Coalition Spacepower PENTAGON NEWS RELEASE U.S. military officials joined leaders from all 10 nations of the Combined Space Operations (CSpO) Initiative—Austra - lia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, the United Kingdom, and the United States—at the new French Space Command Headquarters in December 2025, where they reaffirmed the strength and relevance of CSpO to deterrence, interoperability, and space warfight - ing capability. Led by U.S. Gen. Chance Saltzman, Chief of Space Operations, the U.S. delegation underscored its commitment to defend U.S. interests in and through space. (Read more) President Trump Announces New Battleship NAVY PRESS RELEASE President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of the Navy John C. Phelan, alongside Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, has announced their intent to construct a new class of Ameri- can-designed battleships that will be the most lethal sur- face combatant ever constructed. The future USS Defiant (BBG 1) will be the first Trump class battleship and will be an unambiguous statement of American commitment to maritime superiority with capability to distribute more fire - power across the fleet than any other class of ship, for any Navy, in history. (Read more) Joint Interagency Task Force Integrates Skills, Creates Layered Counter-Drone Defense JOINT INTERAGENCY TASK FORCE 401 Army Lt. Col. Adam Scher Small unmanned aircraft systems, once largely confined to overseas battlefields, are increasingly being exploited by criminal organizations, cartels, and terrorist networks inside the homeland. At the center of this effort is Joint In - teragency Task Force 401, a specialized organization estab - lished in August 2025 to rapidly integrate, test, and deliver C-UAS capabilities. (Read more)

This generational overhaul places the entire acquisition enterprise on a wartime footing, trans- forming it from a compliance-based process to a dynamic, Warfighter-focused model that prioritizes the speed of de - livery for credible, combat-effective capabilities.
