Ginger Hill Knockout 066 • AAA# 19937213 • Knockout is our all-time top-selling bull, selling 1/2 interest in 2021 for $29,000, and matured into a powerful and impressive mature herd bull. His progeny have consistently been the top-performing sire group year in and year out, setting the standard for performance in our program. They’re born without difficulty and display exceptional eye appeal with excellent structure, muscle, and sex character. His Pathfinder ® dam, Ginger Hill Helen 808, is in our flush program—a model Angus cow with a picture-perfect udder that Knockout consistently passes to his daughters. The grandam is the thickest cow we’ve ever raised with tremendous udder quality, selling as a sale feature in 2023 to Clent White, NC. The Pathfinder ® great-grandam, Ginger Hill Helen 771, was the best cow in our herd in her time, and many of our best Helen cows trace to her. Knockout has proven to be the dominant sire in our program. This will be his last yearling progeny to sell as he is deceased, and no semen is available—a final opportunity to acquire genetics from our most influential sire. Ginger Hill RattleOn 182 • AAA# 20423512 • RattleOn is a Black Bore 616 son we’ve used successfully on our heifers and is owned with my lifelong friend Bobby Grove of White Ridge Angus. RattleOn is a tremendous young sire from the most outstanding cow I’ve ever purchased, MH Whitney 373, who has a standout calf every year and is now in our flush program. RattleOn is long-bodied, eye-appealing, and sound with excellent feet and structure. He calves very easy and have never assisted any of his progeny. His sons are the sleep-at-night calving ease bulls you desire with added maternal superiority. We’re now calving his first daughters, and they will be a tremendous asset to our program.
Reference Sires Ginger Hill Easy Rider 253 • AAA#20720027 • We are very excited about Easy Rider, who is proving his value. Sired by SAV Resource 1441 and out of the highly maternal Ginger Hill Dawn 706, he combines maternal strength, muscle, power, and calving ease as effectively as any bull we’ve used. This long-bodied, smooth-made sire is a Bonafide calving ease bull yet consistently sires the muscle and thickness his sire line is renowned for. His outstanding donor dam is a maternal sister to Ginger Hill Black Bore 616 and records 5 calves averaging weaning ratio 103. His pathfinder maternal grandam and great-grandam record 10 calves averaging weaning ratio 106 and 11 calves averaging weaning ratio 107, respectively. This bull consistently sires light birth weight progeny with females that display the maternal look of his dam and maternal grandsire yet delivers the power of Resource in his bulls. After seeing his first yearling progeny and with many more calves on the ground this fall, he will continue to see heavy service at Ginger Hill.
