Richard “Dick” Graham Passes Away At 90
He began his career as Controller of the Philadelphia Papermill, Manayunk, of Container Corporation of America (CCA), a global paper and packaging company, headquar- tered in Chicago. CCA, which established the Aspen Insti- tute, was acquired by Mobil Oil and later sold to Jefferson Smurfit. Dick’s career spanned 40+ years with the company, moving from Philadelphia to Chicago to St. Louis, ultimately ascending to Chief Executive Officer. The company is now known as Smurfit Westrock. Dick will be remembered as a revered business leader who had a competitive spirit and for his dedicated service to the Haverford School. Richard “Dick” William Graham, 90, of Bryn Mawr, Penn- sylvania, formerly of Gladwyne, passed away peacefully at Beaumont Retirement Communi- ty on March 24 surrounded by his loving family. He was the oldest son of Agnes and Grant Rowe Graham and was predeceased by his broth- er, Alexander (Sandy) John Graham and sister, Marilyn Graham Ab- bady. Dick attended the Haverford School, Lafayette College and The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsyl- vania, majoring in Finance. Dick Graham

Sandra Wagner, previously Vice Pres- ident of Digitalization at Koenig & Bauer, has been appointed Managing Director of Koenig & Bauer Kyana GmbH. The spin-off of the mechanical engineering company’s software innovation hub as an indepen- dent entity marks an important milestone in the consistent implementation of the company’s digital strategy, the company said. Koenig & Bauer Kyana GmbH will con- tinue to concentrate on the development of digital business models as well as AI and data-driven solutions throughout the entire life cycle of print products. “We are convinced that this strategic spin-off, com- bined with the concentration and consoli- dation of our outstanding expertise in the field of digitalization, will make a significant contribution to the long-term success of our company,” said Andreas Pleßke, CEO of Koenig & Bauer. The spin-off enables the company to meet customer needs in a more targeted manner and to exploit the growth potential in this market segment.
