Wienk Charolais - Annual Charolais Bull Sale [4/26/25]

Arnold Lee Wienk October 22, 1937 – February 5, 2025

This spring the Founder of our operation passed on to be with Christ. Arnold Wienk was a legend within the Charolais breed and a legend to us as a stockman, Father, and Grandpa. There simply aren’t enough words to express his impact on our lives, our ranching philosophies, or the beef industry as a whole. 67 years with Charolais cattle and 55 continuous annual bull sales. His list of friends stretches across the globe from dozens of trips overseas and thousands of breeders, guests, collegiate judging teams, and foreign exchange students hosted. His list of achievements is long and broad, including the American-International Charolais Association Hall of Fame and the South Dakota State University Eminent Farmer award. Arnold married Carol in 1958, the same year he bought his first Charolais bull from the Litton Ranch. On the CB radios, he was “The Bull Shipper” and Carol was “C.W.” We miss them both dearly, but their lives and influence have created an impact that will go on forever.
