Ward Moves Congratulations to all involved in an extremely successful move this month of ward 3 to the newly refurbished Ward 6 on the ground floor of Building 9 (Trigg House). This all happened with the accreditation assessors there too. Later this month, ward 2 successfully moved into the Graythwaite Rehabilitation Centre as the new Ward 5. The move was a smooth and professional operation.

Wards 2 and 3 has ceased operation as an inpatient unit and are permanently closed. Heather Gough, General Manager congratulated and thanked the NUMs and ward staff for what I know will have been a very hard time for making it go well for both wards.

Critical Care The temporary Critical Care Unit is taking shape. The Nursing Directorate recently did a site visit and were delighted with the new facility for Intensive Care and Coronary Care whilst the Hospital redevelopment takes place. Critical Care are expected to move into the new temporary unit in early 2025.
