Focus on Allied Health
Year in Review It has been another very productive and busy year for Allied Health at Ryde and I would like to thank all AH staff for their ongoing dedication and commitment to excellence in AH care.
• AH clinicians together performed over 77,000 inpatient OOS and over 23,000 outpatient OOS
• The teams completed more than 10 quality improvement projects and held an inaugural QI showcase.
• 51 AH student placements were completed at Ryde including a psychology student- for the first time in a few years.
• Funding for 2 AH clinical research trials was received and another one is likely to be funded in early 2025.
• AH staff also provided countless in-service sessions to medical, other AH and nursing colleagues as well as several education sessions to local Chinese community groups.
• This year we had 10 nominees in the NSLHD AH Professionals Day awards.
• Leadership capacity was further enhanced by several AH staff completing the THRIVE Leadership program in 2024.
• Ryde Psychology service was formally re-aligned under the Manager of Allied Health in late 2024.
Ryde Allied Health wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year .
We are looking forward to continuing the great working relationships with our medical and nursing colleagues in 2025 and serving the Ryde Community.
