Get active. Stay active. Be active . Being active is a state of mind, a desire to participate and contribute. That’s what we strive to do every day at the Community Recreation Department: provide opportunities for our community to Be Active .The Be Active catalog currently contains all the great activities you expect from us. In future issues, Be Active wants to also tell the stories of how Sheboygan gets involved and has fun. And we need your help! If you participate in an activity, tell us about it. If you love working with an instructor, give them a glowing review. If you capture a great moment in a photo, send it to us. You can send your stories and photos to jdixon@sasd.net and you might be featured in a future catalog. Let’s celebrate being active together!

Getting Active, Staying Active… As we embark on another fall season we our happy to mail over 30,000 Community Recreation Department catalogs to Sheboygan homes. The goal of the cover of the catalog and exciting variety of programs inside, is to grab your attention and inspire you to sign up for a program or class of your choice. Providing a wide variety of programs is our passion and we want to do the best possible job we can. We truly hope you find something in our Fall catalog; a casual program to enjoy, an art or music class to participate in, one or all of the Sheboygan Theatre Company’s 85th season’s shows or a fitness class or sports activity. We truly believe that there should be a class or program in our fall book for everyone to enjoy -- ages 2-99 -- and, if there isn’t, please call to let us know “what keeps you active?” that we might be missing!
