Welcome to the 23rd Annual Hoiby Bull Sale We are proud to welcome you to our 23rd Annual Hoiby Bull Sale and to share that this marks our 42nd year raising registered Simmental cattle. The bulls offered in this year’s sale truly represent the best set we have ever raised at the Hoiby Ranch, and we are excited to offer them to our customers and friends. This offering includes bulls that will work well on heifers, as well as bulls that would fit nicely into a seedstock operation. However, our primary focus has always been producing bulls bred for the commercial cow/calf producer. We strive to raise cattle that are functional, structurally sound, and capable of working in real-world conditions while adding value to your herd. Our bulls have been developed on a carefully managed growing ration consisting of 15% pro- tein pellets, corn silage, and chopped hay. This ration is designed to promote muscle develop- ment rather than excessive fat. We believe this development program helps ensure longevity, fertility, soundness, and overall performance once these bulls go to work for you. By developing our bulls in this manner, we are confident they will hold up better, adapt more easily to your environment, and provide productive service in your herd for many seasons to come.
