The Superpit is the most famous modern example, which due to its location adjacent to the town of Kalgoorlie Boulder is a popular tourist destination. Small scale, historical diggings also abound across the region, making for interesting viewing particularly when combined with the history and narratives about the industry. There is an opportunity to continue developing this industry across the region through developing new tours, infrastructure and accommodation.
