YEAR FIVE
SEMESTER ONE Exploring our School Values: As part of Inquiry in Term 1, Year 5 students focused on the school Values connected with the Inquiry topic. Students were asked to draw what they thought each value meant and how it looks to them.
YEAR FIVE SRC REFLECTION Year 5 has been a fantastic adventure! Our visit to Preston Market was a highlight, where we tasted foods from different cultures and learned about diverse foods. The NGV tour was also exciting; exploring different types of art opened our eyes to different artistic styles and sparked our creativity. Also, going to the Secondary Campus for health classes with Ms. Lee and Mrs. Somerville has been really engaging. We’ve learned so much about health and well - being. Overall, Year 5 has been full of exciting experiences and has made learning enjoyable! - Kyle and Sophia
Victorian Space Science Education Centre: As part of Inquiry we were lucky enough to attend the VSSEC to explore all things about our planet Earth and Mars. Students learnt about the solar system and got to role play working in a control room and landing on Mars.
Cyber Safety Incursion: Year 5’s took part in an incursion with the Victorian Police to discuss cyber safety and how to make appropriate choices when online.
