Hide & Seek for Science Week CAMOUFLAGE ACTIVITY On Tuesday 13th August, the Primary

PRIMARY STEM

Campus celebrated National Science Week with activities designed to explore this year’s theme of Species Survival – More Than Just Sustainability . With the help of some Year 7 and 8 students we asked - Why do animals camouflage? As scientists we explored how animals camouflage to hide from predators and sometimes their prey, we looked at different adaptations living creatures have to help them survive, and also learnt about how they can become threatened by habitat loss or other changes to their environment. Cohorts worked together to camouflage different animals into our Learning Street environment. It was great to also share our Inquiry learning with our families and friends who visited to see Learning in Action!
