Interschool Sport
PRIMARY SPORT
The Primary Campus kicked off another successful year in Interschool Sport. During Term 1, both Basketball teams came first in the District competition! Cross Country then allowed us to showcase our fitness with Macie (Year 4) and Phoenix (Year 6) finishing in the top ten and progressing through to Division Finals. Second Term saw more student success with our Netballers finishing second after an illness - plagued season, and our Girls Tee Ball team winning their Gala Day. We then finished off Term 2 with a runners - up pennant for our Girls AFL team. Term 3 was busy for interschool sports, with students competing in a range of events from athletics, volleyball, tennis, as well as 5/6 sports on a Friday morning. Our Girls Volleyball team finished runners - up on this day! Awesome efforts to Kara , Sienna , Sione , Anthem and Amrit who made it through to Division Finals in athletics. And an extra shout out to Amrit who competed in the Regional competition in both shot put and long jump in Term 4! In Term 3, Years 3 and 4 also got the chance to impress at Hooptime, the first opportunity for many to have a go and compete at the interschool sports level. Well done to our Future Stars team who won on the day. That brings to a close yet another year of interschool sports. Well done to all students involved, whether it be scoring, as an emergency or playing. Interschool sport is an important part of our College curriculum as it gives students the chance to: experience something they may never have tried before; work as part of a team; experience the success and disappointment that comes through participation; as well as create lasting school memories.
