Fresh Opportunities
YEAR SEVEN
SEMESTER ONE
YEAR SEVEN SRC REFLECTION We have loved our first year on the Secondary Campus and loved meeting new friends and teachers along the way. In Term 1 we had NAPLAN early in the morning before school started, and straight from there we got to go to camp. We went to Philip Island and enjoyed activities such as the flying fox, rock climbing and the pool. During Term 2 we had the Performing Arts Showcase and many different Interschool sports, such as volleyball. In Term 3 we were involved in Wakakirri and we won a State Award with a nomination for a National Award. We were really excited to get these results. Overall, it’s been a great year, and we hope we get to make more memories in the next few years. - Bertrand and Jahmin
Phillip Island Camp:
Visual Arts: The Year 7 students had fun creating a landscape collage using sampled watercolour practice work. The method required them to think about the desired effects through mixing different colours and achieving complimentary or contrasting combinations.
Year 7 camp was so much fun. We went to Phillip Island which took about an hour and a half to get to on the bus. We slept in cabins with our friends, and we did so many activities like the giant swing, swimming, archery and rock climbing. We completed NAPLAN the week before camp and even had a NAPLAN test on the morning of camp, which was a bit stressful but once we were done, we were so excited to be finished and on our way! - Mia
