Adapting to changes in Mathematics
SECONDARY MATHEMATICS
The year of 2024 saw many new changes for Mathematics classes on the Secondary campus. Students in Years 7 - 10 improved their learning with the support of new textbooks and an online numeracy program. VCE students were challenged with the demands of problem - solving assessments and integrating the use of CAS calculators into their repertoire of skills. Within the classroom routines, students were able to always find fun, interesting and challenging experiences in learning Mathematics throughout the year. YEAR 7 I enjoyed a lot of the activities in Mathematics class, some of the highlights were the SOMA cube puzzle Algebra, learning about the cartesian plane and much more. So far, I am definitely enjoying Mathematics. - Noah B In Mathematics, I found out that the hardest thing I learned was Algebra, whilst the easiest was probably Negative Numbers and Integers. I've enjoyed Probability most. The SOMA cube was very interesting for me and sometimes was hard. I like doing written tests, but sometimes find that my results weren't what I expected. - Jana P I like doing booklets, minigames and fun card games. - Tristan C
