SEMESTER TWO Book Week: Year 10's love a good opportunity for dress up and costume events! Book Week is set to be bigger than ever for 2025 on the Secondary Campus and on Primary.
In Term 4 we are all really excited about our end - of - year celebration, where the Year 10 students will have a memorable sleepover at school. It’s going to be a fantastic way to bond with friends and celebrate our achievements together. We’re looking forward to hanging out, watching movies, and enjoying some downtime after all the hard work. With a bunch of activities and games planned, we should have plenty to do. It’s also a great chance to relax and catch up with everyone outside of the classroom. We are also eagerly anticipating the ‘Lovebites’ incursion, which promises to be both educational and engaging. It will provide us with valuable insights and discussions on important topics. Stepping into Year 11 feels like a big adventure. We are excited and nervous at the same time. This is the year where things start to get serious, and we know we’ll need to work harder than ever before. But we’re ready to face the challenge and learn new things. Then there’s Year 12, which feels even bigger. It’s like standing on the edge of something important, and we can already feel the pressure building. Still, we’re excited to take it on, knowing that each step brings us closer to finishing Secondary school and achieving our goals. We’re also thrilled for our school's Performing Arts Showcase: Curtain Call! Taylor V and Ben M are hosting, and we know they’ll ALMOST be as good as Takura & Mason were last Semester! With a packed schedule featuring so many amazing performances, we’re especially looking forward to the Wakakirri dance that won a State Award. It’s going to be a really fun day, offering a fantastic opportunity to see everyone’s hard work come to life and to celebrate all the talent in our school. We can’t wait for the big night! These events are not only a chance to make lasting memories but also to gain new perspectives and skills. We’re excited for all the fun and learning that’s in store. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the end of the term and start the break with great memories! - Maya K, Ben M, Teagan N, and Takura M
Food Studies: The Year 10 Food Studies task was to plan, design and create their own cupcake/cake creation. Students decided what flavour they wanted their cakes to be and also the added ingredients they wanted to make their design come to life. It was fantastic to see students engaged in this activity.
