Fleckvieh Genetics raised in “Cowboy” country
Welcome to our Second Annual Sale!
Welcome to the “Annual” Class of 2026 bull sale. This set of bulls on offer are a mix of natural and embryo transplants. It is an absolute joy for me to produce these bulls! It is a gateway to meet cattlemen and
What a year in the cattle business, it has been. Record Breaking. Enthusiastic. Optimistic. Just WOW! This fall brought historic prices at sales barns, day in and day out, true price discovery. We all know that the cattle business has been difficult to survive let alone thrive, the last thing we needed this fall was the media’s unjustified attention that beef is too high. Cue the music folks!! All of us know the outcome and what happened to the market, but one thing remained the same, lowest cow herd numbers in history. Thankfully, cattle prices have beaten their way back and we are seeing record prices in the sales barns again. The cattle Industry is the most prosperous enterprise in our ranching history! The tough get tougher, and finally we can reap some positive returns. Exciting times, leads us to sourcing on the best genetics possible to fit your scenario. We are very proud of the bulls we have for you to evaluate at this year’s sale. The development of the bulls is really something I believe in, the fact is if I will not run them on Guttormson Cattle Ranch’s commercial cow herd there is no need for anyone else to use them. The proof of what Fleckvieh cattle can achieve are present in our own commercial cow herd running right alongside the registered cows. These Fleck bulls have added pounds to our steers and high bred vigor unmatched by any other crossbred application. Bottom line guys and gals, is we as commercial cattlemen sell pounds. The Fleckvieh bull has a unique side to them… that is if used on a solid set of black cows those calves will stay the almighty black color revered by so many. Using Fleckvieh bulls on Red Angus cows has proven to be some of the most sought- after calves. Fleckvieh bulls on Charolais cows have proven to be effective, even adding a maternal strength to the cross. Evaluate the bulls, call with any questions and remember our number one goal is to provide you with a bull that will effectively and efficiently breed your cows, provide you with a set of steer calves that crush scales and a pen of replacement heifers admired by many. Sincerely, your dedicated Rancher,
producers that are as excited about cattle as I am. This year we have 16 bulls in the line-up. As the registered herd continues to grow, so will the number of bulls that we can
offer in the future. Once again, slowly growing them yet giving them enough to reach their optimum potential. 100X Ranch has ramped up the ET program over the last couple years giving us more opportunity to grow the cowherd and produce a high-quality set of bulls. With flushmate brothers and sisters, out of our best cows gives you a chance to buy very consistent genetics. Our goal is to transplant 70+ embryos per year, as we have the last two years, utilizing Guttormson Cattle Ranch Fleckvieh influenced cows as recips. March 27 is the target due date for the ET calves and every year it is the most exciting yet stressful time for me. ELITE GENETICS FOCUSING ON: X 100% Fleckvieh Fullblood Simmental X Polled and horned genetics X Dilution free X Disposition X Open country structural integrity X Longevity from the breeds best cow families X Proven on both Commercial and Seedstock herds X Time developed, ranch raised 2 year old bulls X Semen available on select Herdsires & Embryos from an extensive Donor program

“I’ve bought several bulls from Jamie. This is the first year, 100 percent of my calf crop was Fleckvieh sired. This was by far the best set of calves I’ve ever raised. I topped my 5-year running average of pounds weaned by 75 pounds this year. Same cows, same calving window, same weaning date. The only thing that changed was the bulls. Using Fleckvieh bulls was the single best thing I’ve done for my operation.” Cole Chiolis, Rapid City, SD
Welcome All, Thank you to the entire 100X Ranch team for the opportunity to work with such an exciting and visionary breeding program. Watching firsthand the evolving of the 100X vision, gives me great pleasure and satisfaction. From the point of establishment, an objective and disciplined plan was set forth. The decision to market older, more mature, and carefully developed bulls has great advantages to the customer. Earning a spot in the sale is truly is a graduation process. Feet, structure, calving ease, vigor, maternal excellence, fertility, growth and performance are all evaluated at numerous production points. The goal is to provide seedstock that last, even in the harshest conditions. When bulls last longer in your program, the turn over rate is much lower. Giving you an opportunity to purchase even higher quality bulls for your program. Jamie not only is key for the 100X Ranch program, but believes in the product enough that Guttormson Cattle Ranch [separate entities] are customers as well. And no, they don’t get to cherry pick. As you study the catalog, our hope is connecting with people who have similar lifestyles and a passion for the cattle industry. This set of bulls represents the 100X Ranch type and kind that can make massive improvements to a large spectrum of cowherds. Most importantly, every bull is backed up by the most wholesome, humble, and honest people in the industry. If there is ever problem with your purchase, let Jamie know straight away. Our goal is to get your cows bred. Thank you for sharing your valuable time with us and we look forward to doing business together Brian Valentine

This is a set of powerful, stout made, loose hided, ground pounder bulls that have been admired throughout their development. Sired by Double Bar D Chisholm 37A and Bar 5 FF Hexagon 412Y, the power is locked, the maternal potential of their daughters is exciting.

100X Foundation Females
Our journey in Fleckvieh has utilized some outstanding cows to be our foundation. Many were old proven females with a diverse pedigree portfolio and key to developing our program. Some are still active in the donor program and producing in the herd. Watch for progeny in this sale and in the future, as the daughters have created the basis of 100X Ranch Fleckvieh cowherd. They are required to get the job done right along side our commercial herd. Other donors have been in place that never got in front the lens of a camera unfortunately, but their influence is significant. Every female is important to genetic contribution.

The Chronicles of 100X Ranch and the Guttormson family 2025
We are proud and excited to look back at what 2025 brought to our lives, both good or bad. We all grew in our daily endeavors, sometimes surprising ourselves even. It seems practically daily we have “What the ___ happened now?” experiences. Ranch life is amazing even entertaining at times. Wouldn’t change it for nothing.
April showed us some signs of spring. The big bastards that insisted on rubbing hair off, despite every effort to keep them treated, had grown back and started slicking off for the year. Brian was able to come up during the middle of the month to view the operation and deliver bulls to our valuable customers. As they made it to their new homes, we really appreciated the feedback for how good the bulls looked and their dispositions. The main cowherd started calving the 20th of April and kept us chasing our own tails to keep up with everything. Wouldn’t want it any other way. May gives us hope, that grass does turn green every year bringing new life and optimism. The most bizarre thing happened though! We have our own shipper for semen and embryos. It was packed with some very rare and valuable semen to be sent to Trans Ova. Low and behold, this tank took the long route by UPS. When it didn’t show on time, we discovered it was mistakenly sent to Germany! Hours on the
January brought on new challenges as the most recent purchases in late 2024 made their way to the ranch. Our weather was not cooperative for comfort but new females still had to be calved. We had made the decision to host an online bull sale for the first time. Assembling and orchestrating a sale has a lot of moving parts. The learning curve was steep and we were doing tasks not usual in our past. Ian Hall,
phone literally all over the world to locate and get it returned was stressful to say the least. A huge Thanks to Patty Miller from TransOva for working overtime to retrieve the tank. You went above and beyond! Back-up sires for the upcoming IVF Aspirations were chosen. With the grace of God, it was only misplaced one more time before finally getting to the destination in the nick of time. Let’s not do that again, UPS. The first group of ET
Rafter H Ag Enterprises, came out and clipped and burned sale bulls. On the 19th, Lacey Holen Kraft, Kool Kreft Promotions, endured the coldest day of the year at -47F to photo and video. That’s not pleasant regardless of where you are from. All the steps needed to get a catalog made and set up DVAuction, had to be done while the daily chores of feeding, bedding, and family activities kept us very busy. Special recognition to Amy and mini-assistant Colton of handfeeding the bulls their supplement and creating great dispositions. February didn’t warm up much. Getting advertising out, catalogs mailed, customer visits and displaying at the Farm Show consumed most of the time to the bull sale on the 18- 19th. Maybe this wasn’t the largest sale in the country, but it was a perfect amount to learn the ropes. When the sale completed, we were so humbled by the great people who inquired, bid, watched, and purchased bulls especially over a wide geographical area. Thank you so much for your trust and belief in our program. We started planning the 2026 event straight away. 100X was pleased to have purchased JNR Brick as the high selling bull at JNR’s sale early in the month. Since our breeding window is much later, JNR Farms leased him for their early 2025 breeding season. Brick was a veteran breeder when he got here. March starts our calving of the Embryo Transfer and first calf heifers, due March 10 and 27. This is an awesome time as
recips were set up along with donors for fresh implants and the AI program on the heifers commenced. Thanks Kyle and Mitch for all you do at and for 100X Ranch and still operate B&G Electric full time. Weekends stay very busy. During the week, kid’s sports, music recitals, and other school events keep the wheels turning in all directions. Fences on all of the pastures had to be looked over and repaired if needed for turn-out. June accelerated to full throttle. If it is even possible to jam more into our schedules. If the sun shines, there are things to be done. The second and largest group of recip cows were set up for implanting the most exciting set of embryos. Donors; Sibelle Pol Amazone 41L, WJS Loyal Choice 118L and LFS Pol Juliette contributed a generous quantity of embryos from numerous matings, along with the proven older donors. Our good friend and proficient embryologist, Todd Van Dyke, from Pennsylvania for group 1. And our friends at TransOva provided tremendous professional services for group 2 recips. Pairs were sorted and turned out to grass and multiple herdsires joined them in various pastures. Our Fleckvieh cows run with our commercial cows and mated with selected sires. Ground was prepared for planting crops and feedstuffs.
the product we worked so hard to create genetically starts the next cycle of our program. Selling coming two-year-old bulls, requires patience. Not always our personal strong attribute. We wouldn’t be able to get everything done without our kids lending a helping hand. Nearly 60 ET calves were born, exciting us even more for the genetic progress the future.
July is full on summer. This year we purchased a team of Percheron mares with fillies at their side. Celebrating our community of Velva, we hitched them up and drove them in the
18
parade. Velva, ND is famous for Dots Pretzels, maybe 100X Ranch will be the new signature. We even hitched the team up to the rake for some old school haying. If the Amish can do it, so can we. However, once is
the opportunities, time, input, and support he gave to each of us. Without him, there wouldn’t be Fleckvieh here even. This year’s sale is dedicated to recognize him for a lifetime of dedication. Having the opportunity to work alongside him was an honor and sometimes a real bugger. Wouldn’t trade it for the world regardless. He was damn proud of the Fleckvieh cattle roaming just outside his front door. Dad had a real passion for horses and our family works horseback nearly all the time. This year we grew grazing corn, Catt Corn, non GMO developed in Canada. It worked amazingly, giving us extended grazing time. Cows got to do their job too. We were astonished with our conception rates on
enough, so back to burning red diesel. August reminds us how short our summers can be. Short sleeve weather started to get crisper with each new day. The calves are growing extremely well. And it’s hard to believe school was fast approaching us again. Colton started Kindergarten, Cooper 6th grade and Cee Cee 7th grade. Their daily help is missed on the Ranch, but school is very important to us as well. Amy is the glue holding us together! She is an awesome mom, balancing responsibilities of all kinds with the kids and the Ranch. She even plays along with our wild ideas of ways to “make a dollar”. Yes, goats, Kunkune pigs, chickens, being the horse whisperer, head parts getter and chauffeur for all of us, is just the start of it. Truly we are so lucky to have her in our family. She is the photographer for most of the candid shots, bringing up the rear in our cattle drives. September starts the new female sale season in North America. The hunt is on for the “special” ones that can elevate our program for each generation. Our standards of excellence are hard to achieve; 100% Fleckvieh, Dilution Free, Horned must be 100% horned pedigree, and backed by credible cow families that add diversity yet consistency to the 100X breeding program and vision. Brian spends countless time researching pedigrees and a plan of how new purchases can impact the herd. His knowledge of the breed is immense, even hard to believe at times. October draws us closer to responsibilities. Hauling hay to the yard fills any open time it seems. We put up nearly 100% of the feed for our cattle ourselves. Usually battling the weather, too dry or too wet. At the Magnolia Classic in Starkville, MS, Brian attended on our behalf to carefully evaluate Red Oak Lovely Lady as a possible addition to the 100X herd. She is the real deal, and we pulled the trigger to $24,000 as the sale’s high seller that day. Thanks to Josh Gardner for agreeing to calve her in Alabama, so we can move her once the calf is larger and weather more conducive. November means preg checking, weaning, marketing commercial cattle, and starting to bring cattle to the home ranch. November 9th, was the saddest day for Guttormson Ranches and family. Wade Guttormson, father, husband, grandfather, and Patriarch of our family passed. We are forever grateful for moving sale bulls home for further development. We have to have a pretty efficient plan to manage all the
the ET of over 70%. This news makes the investment of money and time so much more rewarding. The sale bulls are starting to come together. Thanks, Josh Peters of Idaho, for your valuable advice on nutrition. We are dedicated to developing bulls over a longer time and reaching optimum potential. The over stuffed yearlings have suffered in our environment and we want our customers to have the best possible bulls ready to cover cows comfortable yet maintain body condition. Nutritionally, limiting the starches and increasing the sources for energy and growth through forages is working well in our opinion. December, more of the same. Cold, windy, cows to be fed, bulls to evaluate and sale females on offer in numerous sales from our friends to the north, Canada. We have to trust our extended team of consultants and breeders to honestly evaluate the cattle on our behalf. Thanks Cody Coupland of Transcon for always keeping an eye out for us. We were fortunate to purchase Wolfe Apex 389L in partnership with JNR Farms as a new all horned pedigree sire with generations stacked for user friendly calving ease and maternal ability, as their high seller. Colton (age 5) watched his sale video every morning before school and gave the nod of approval. Pic In addition, Wolfe Marla FF 154M was selected as a June calving bred female, sired by the incredible RWR Sully 9E. Sully works our pastures too, but adding the multiple generations of cow families cultivated by Tony Wolfe lifetime gives us an exciting breeding piece. MAVV Maddie 46M from Mike Imler and family, tickled our fancy and joined the 100X portfolio. Keato Pld Memphis 22M met all the criteria as well from Keato Meadow Simmentals. Now it was time to put even more thought and effort into our upcoming sale event. We couldn’t be prouder of the product that is stamped with the 100X brand. The journey in the Fleckvieh seedstock enterprise is not without its challenges, however seeing the results is extremely rewarding. Thank you for your time as we share our lives with yours. God Bless America and ranching for years to come. 100X Ranch Fleckvieh truly are our way of life and it’s a family affair. Humbly, your 100X Ranch team; Jamie, Amy, Cee Cee, Cooper,
and Colton Guttormson Mitch Barth and family Kyle Burke and Maren Vangsness Brian Valentine
