GRADUATE FOUNDATION IN LAW PROGRAMME The Graduate Foundation in Law Programme is a law foundation part-time or full-time course for graduates who have limited knowledge of the law of England and Wales. This course is designed for those who want to take the SQE but do not have a UK law degree or equivalent experience. If you don’t have a law degree, we strongly recommend that you take this programme prior to starting preparation training for the SQE1 Assessment. Not only will this give you a better chance of passing the SQE, but it will also set you up to feel more confident in every step of your legal career journey. The programme covers six foundation areas of law. The syllabus for each of these six areas is aligned to the Solicitors Regulation Authority specification of functioning legal knowledge for the SQE. In each area, you will develop a practical and functional understanding of the foundations of English and Welsh Law, and core analytical and practical legal skills. The programme comprises seven modules: Introduction to Law, Contract, Tort, Land, Trusts, Criminal Law and Public Law/EU. Included within the programme:
