CEO MESSAGE

Lighting the Way As the 2022 year begins, we are in the middle of a surge of community members and patients testing positive for Covid-19. At the same time, we are vaccinating as many children and adults as we can. As we navigate Covid-19 ups and downs, I’d like to shift the topic to something that has been a “certainty” throughout this pandemic, and that is the ability of OneWorld to lead, partner and innovate. I am so honored to be the CEO of this wonderful organization. The determination and strength of our leadership and staff to pivot, jump on opportunities to help, and to assure our ability to test, vaccinate, educate and treat in the communities we serve is a “certainty” to count on. Though there is so much more to learn about the new variant, please know that OneWorld staff will be diligent and on top of things throughout the coming weeks and months, learning and adapting as needed. That is a bright spot for me, and I hope as part of the OneWorld community, that it will be for you too. During the current Covid-19 surge, we are reminded of the depth and breadth of the economic issues families living within low-wage jobs face, and we are doing our best to meet their needs. As a result, in addition to our coats for kids program, we partnered with Omaha Marines Toys for Tots for our patients and our employees adopted a number of families for giving during the holiday season. When I think back to a year ago, we were so excited and filled with hope to receive vaccines. A year later, we continue to educate and vaccinate. Our hearts are full of gratitude to know that you continue to support our work. Thank you. We know that you join us in lighting the way for 2022.
