The Fylde Rugby Community Foundation and Fylde Rugby Club: Empowering Lives Through Rugby

The Fylde Rugby Community Foundation and Fylde Rugby Club have a partnership focused on empowering individuals and creating a lasting impact through the sport of rugby. Together, they are nurturing a strong sense of community and providing inclusive opportunities for children and adults in the Fylde, Wyre, and Blackpool areas. The Foundation's vision is clear: Rugby For All. They offer a wide range of programmes, including school rugby, educational initiatives, Rugratz Rugby for preschool children, Walking Rugby, Touch Rugby, Wheelchair Rugby, Rugby and Multi-Sport Camps and Tag Rugby for Special Educational Needs. By making rugby accessible to everyone, regardless of age or ability, the Foundation is creating a pathway to participation in sport. Children benefit immensely from the Foundation's efforts. Through rugby introduction in schools and educational programmes, they develop essential values such as teamwork, discipline, and respect. The Rugratz Rugby programme sparks a love for rugby from an early age, building confidence and social skills in children and setting a solid foundation for their future involvement in the sport. The Foundation's commitment extends to adults as well. The Walking Rugby and Touch Rugby programmes provide alternative formats that cater to individuals of all abilities. These initiatives promote physical and mental well-being, fostering new friendships within the community. Integral to the success of the Foundation's initiatives is Fylde Rugby Club, amongst other partner clubs. As an established and inclusive club, they provide a sustainable pathway for participants to continue their rugby journey beyond the Foundation's programmes. With a supportive and welcoming environment, Fylde Rugby Club ensures that individuals feel valued and connected within the wider rugby community. The partnership between The Fylde Rugby Community Foundation and Fylde Rugby Club represents a powerful initiative to promote rugby and transform lives in the Fylde. In addition to their partnership with Fylde Rugby Club, the Fylde Rugby Community Foundation collaborates with several other rugby clubs in the Wyre and Blackpool communities. Their partnerships with Fleetwood RUFC, Garstang RUFC, and Thornton RUFC further solidify their commitment to realising the vision of "Rugby For All."
