o f the immediate text and discover where else this same word is used that the true thought of the passage is revealed. Of the sixty times that this Hebrew word is translated “strength,” it almost always re fers to the strength of the Lord. For ex ample, see Ex. 15:2; 1 Chron. 16:11; Psa. 28:7; etc. When this fact is discovered, the im portance of this characteristic as a domi nant factor in the life o f womanhood can be readily seen. Develop this thought. T he I deal W oman and H er T ongue Prov. 31:26: “In her tongue is the law o f kindness.” Two lines o f discourse are here sug gested. The first would be an analysis of the various passages given under “tongue” in the concordance. Since ap proximately 200 verses include the use o f this word, abundant material is avail able for many short talks. The second line o f thought proceeds from the consideration o f “kindness” as a characteristic of the ideal woman. Here again there is ample Scripture background for study. Other messages are to be found in the concordance by looking up the words “preach,” “servant for Jesus’ sake” (v. 5), “light,” “hearts,” “knowledge,” “glory of God” (v. 6 ), etc. —o— C onclusion Lessons for this month have been uni formly considered from the viewpoint of the concordant method.
