Features
• Potential startups to be funded by Mozilla identified through 5 regional webinars.
• Pillar 1: External Research Funding and Capacity Building Activities. • Pillar 2: 8 Key Projects - Internal Consortium Research and Innovation Projects and Capacity Building Activities.
The project seeks to convene a broad group of innovators, thinkers, builders and influencers from the public and private sector to engage and take action through listening, creating a knowledge base, making policy recommendations and surfacing new product ideas from across the Africa continent: Some of the partners in this conference include: Thomas Reuters Foundation, Smart Africa, Lawyers Hub, Hasgeek, AUDA/NEPAD.
• Innovation hubs, startups and entrepreneurs within the ecosystem trained on on Lean Data Practices.
• Innovative and Tech ideas identified for potential funding through 3 Mentoring sessions held
• Collaborate on designing an innovation portal that will include a body of knowledge and information about the innovation/startup ecosystem in the region in collaboration with Mozilla and other partners.
• Pillar 3: Management,
Coordination, Monitoring and Evaluation and Development of the Future Long-term Partnership.
• Publications and blog posts addressing and proffering solutions to the needs identified within the ecosystem.
• Policy papers addressing issues relating to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in collaboration with Africa Mradi partners. • African Continental Free Trade Area ( AfCFTA) extracts translated into at least 2 African languages (including Kiswahili and one other language).
