Hiranandani Trust School ’ s Mantra Towards The Modification Of Student ’ s Behavior

Parent ’ s Role

• The school has the responsibility to advise parents of unacceptable behavior demonstrated by the student.

Empowerment not Punishment

Empowerment not punishment is the mantra at Hiranandani Trust School, Panvel.

• We expect that parents and the school sta will work together to bring about a change in student’s behavior and that eorts will be made in this regard. • In some cases, parents of a second party (e.g. a victim) will also be contacted and informed of an investigation into another student's conduct. • Parents are requested to co-operate with the school, rather than defending their ward in case of any wrongdoing on part of the student so that we work towards the benefit of the students unitedly.

The fact is, Discipline is only punishment when imposed by someone else. When one disciplines oneself, it’s not punishment but empowerment. At HTS we aim at developing the qualities mentioned below by means of self-motivation and self-disciplining and refraining from punishing the students.

We believe in positive reinforcements rather than punishing the students for their unacceptable acts and behavior.

Parents’ support and cooperation with the school are of utmost importance for the benefit of the students.

Self-disciplining Targets

• Not breaking bounds • Avoiding disobedience • Refrain from telling lies • Refrain from bunking class/assembly • Creating indiscipline inside the class/school • Coming out of class without permission • Using unfair means in the examination

• Not wearing the proper uniform • Refrain from coming late to school • Refrain from damaging school property • Caring for their own belongings • Not using any electronic device, mobile phone, camera, or valuable things within the school premises
