Moe’s First Couch Racing Adventure Reclining to the Finish Line

Get ready to speed up your sofas and rev your recliners!

The JustCallMoe team recently put our pedals to the upholstery and went full throttle on the throw pillows as first-time participants in one of Sanford’s most beloved community events. The Sofas and Suds couch race, hosted by our friends A Mediocre Time with Tom & Dan Podcast, was held on Nov. 24 and brought together local businesses for some friendly, competitive couch racing, beer chasing, and fun. Now in its 12th year, this race challenges teams to deck out a couch or recliner and see who can launch their loveseat into first place. We had a blast building our ultimate racing sofa and watching everyone recline to the finish line. Although we didn’t win, we count a day filled with community, fun, craft beer, and creativity as the ultimate consolation prize! Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer on couches from the sidelines and capture the action in excellent videos and photos. We’re also grateful to the other local businesses, including Tuffy’s Music Box & Lounge, HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital, City of Sanford, and more, for wowing us with your creative racing furniture. You gave us a run for our ottomans! If you want to see more of the racing action, check out our Facebook and Instagram pages for more photos. As for us, we’re already brainstorming ways to take our sofa to the next level for the next race. But, until then, you can find us lounging in victory over all the memories and laughs we shared at this wonderful community event. Whether we’re in the courtroom, on the race track, or on a comfy couch, JustCallMoe is always ready to roll!
