Drama Years 4-5

Ever fancied creating your own superhero and comic book? Well this is your chance. In this club you will design your own comic book starring your very own superhero! Your hero will go on an adventure and meet a villain that they must defeat. We will work together and look at different design ideas and at the end of the term, you will have your very own handmade comic book to take home.

The Computer Clubs are held in the ground floor ICT Suite (Room 44). During the session the children are introduced to a number of computer-based activities including educational/ fun games, logic puzzles, creating animations and games, as well as being introduced to the fundamentals of computer programming (using 2Code and ‘Scratch’, in particular). New activities are continually being added to the list. The focus of the club is ‘to have fun, and learn, with digital technologies’.

In drama club Year 4 children will practice their acting and improvisation skills, usually working together in pairs or small groups. This term Year 5 will be developing their acting skill set by looking at detailed character work and exploring elements of staging to a performance level. This will include looking at drama techniques such as voice, body and movement. Leading to a performance in a Production for parents at Half Term.
