Get into the festive spirit in Whitby, on the glorious Yorkshire coastline, with its bustling harbour and stunning cli4-top views. Turkey & Tinsel in North Yorkshire Day 1 Depart from home and travel to Whitby, arriving late afternoon to tea/co4ee and mince pies at The Royal Whitby Hotel. Day 2 After breakfast, we venture into Scarborough with its variety of pubs, restaurants, tea rooms, and cafes. Walk along the sea front or pop into Scarborough Market Hall & Vaults o4ering anything from fresh goods to antiques. This evening, we sit down for our Christmas evening meal, complete with a glass of wine. Day 3 Our day begins with a journey through the scenic North York Moors before we come to Pickering, an ancient vibrant and bustling market town. Visit its many independent shops, cafés and local attractions. This afternoon, we visit Castle Howard, a 18th century stately home, where we will have entry into the festive spectacle Christmas at Castle Howard. Day 4 We spend today in Whitby to enjoy the local sights and sounds. Perhaps enjoy a wintery walk along the tranquil coastline, treat yourself to a spot of lunch in one of Whitby’s award-winning fish and chip shops, or visit famous attractions such as Whitby Abbey, the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s Dracula. This afternoon we enjoy a Festive Cream Tea at our hotel and time to relax before evening meal. Day 5 Departing after breakfast, we retrace our steps to East Anglia.
