M emory V erse : “Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching . . . preaching . . . and healing” (Matt. 9:35). Close your eyes tightly and pre tend that you cannot open them again. While you are pretending, you are undoubtedly thinking of your room, your friends, the "world about you, and other things. You can still see them with your mind even though your eyes are closed for a few minutes. Can you imagine how you would feel and what you would think if you had been born blind, if you had never seen anything? God’s Word tells us about the Saviour’s healing a man who was born blind. The Lord was walking from one place to another when He saw the blind man. Because Jesus was always very busy, He might have hurried on and not have bothered to stop. But He was never too busy to help those who needed Him. Quickly Jesus spit upon the ground, made clay of the spittle, and placed the clay upon the man’s eyes. He told the man to go wash in the pool of Siloam. The blind man did not argue; he did not refuse to obey the Lord Jesus. As the man washed in the pool, his eyes were opened, and he came back to Jesus able to see. The man’s neighbors and friends said, “ Is not this he that sat and begged?” When they asked the man how his eyes were opened, he said, “A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight." How the man must have loved the Saviour for what He had done! Have you asked the Lord Jesus to open the eyes of your heart that they might see Him? Have you let Him touch your physical eyes that they might see only those things which please Him? Have you faithfully told your friends and neighbors of what the Saviour has done for you?
