What is 0DOVER?
0DOVER is DOVER Operational Excellence System for Continuous Improvement.
It was born in 2018 at Dover Fueling Solutions, by a group of Subject Matter Experts in HR, EHS, Finance, Supply Chain, IT and Operations as an opportunity to take a standard approach to Drive Continuous Improvement. After seeing the results at DFS, Dover decided to use it across all its Operating Companies. Every year the Dover OpEx team get together and using Voice of the Customer updates its revision, Revision 8.0 being the latest one.
What’s in the Name?
The name 0DOVER represents more than just the title of the system, it also represents the level of maturity at which each of the 35 standards are rated at:
Ø = Fire Fighting D = Driving Change O = Overcoming Adversity V = Victorious E = Excelling R = Role Model
Why has MAAG decided to adopt 0DOVER?
Maag is leveraging the 0DOVER system as an opportunity to engage all its team members on a Continuous Improvement journey.
What is the 0DOVER NEWS?

This newsletter is going to be distributed weekly to provide everyone at Maag information relating to 0DOVER and changes taking place and how they might impact directly or indirectly the area you are working on. Target for next steps Our goal this year is to achieve Driving Change for 24 of the 35 standards. We started the year with 7 and thus far 12 of the 35 segments have achieved Driving Change, thanks to the efforts of all people involved.

The Current 0DOVER Landscape 5S is a part of 0DOVER initiatives aimed at improving processes throughout an enterprise. 5S consists of 5 parts: Sort, Shine, Standardize, Set in order, and Safety. The pictures of the neatly-looking new carts below is the newest prototype of a cart for moving housings on smaller projects. Cameron Kern, Sourav Dey , and Riley Coleman worked on building this over the recent week. This project is a part of the flow transformation from Push to Pull , which falls under the 0DOVER standard - Internal Material Delivery and is aimed at improving space utilization, reducing storage space from 8ft X 6ft skids to 4ft X 2.5ft. carts , and reducing process waste. The goal of 0DOVER Continuous Improvement is to improve our processes so that we can make our people's jobs easier.
The team will continue working on refining the cart with the goal to eventually build a functional fleet of these carts.
