The Greater Reading Cham- ber Alliance (GRCA) drives economic development in our community and has played a role in bringing many new businesses to the area and providing them with the re- sources that allow them to become bigger, better, and more efficient. Grow and Thrive in Greater Reading When Brentwood Indus- tries, a second-generation family business, that special- izes in thermoplastic molding and engineered plastic sys- tems, needed a new facility in Greater Reading, GRCA was ready to help. GRCA facili- tated a grant to assist with the infrastructure improvements needed as well as a low-inter- est loan for the construction of a new plant. CarbonLITE Industries LLC, a California-based company and largest producer of food- grade post-consumer recycled PET in the world, was seek- ing an East Coast location for their third and largest facil- ity. GRCA connected the dots for the company at the state and local level in addition to ongoing support throughout the decision-making process, construction of the facility, and the startup of operations to en- sure the project is successful in Greater Reading.
