She is ad- mitted to practice law in New Jersey and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Jessica earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Rider Univer- sity with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English Literature.

ALTIMORE, MD — NAIOP Maryland honored 17 different companies and organizations and seven professionals in 24 separate categories at its bi- annual Awards of Excellence held in a virtual ceremony last week. The program celebrates and recognizes the innovative achievements of regional com- mercial real estate developers, as well as the companies and professionals that service this industry in Maryland. Ryan Burrows, JLL; Mor- gan Gilligan, Stewart Title Guaranty Company; and Nicole Wilhelm Smith, ECS Mid-Atlantic served as co- chairs of the Awards of Excel- lence committee. Cathy Ward , formerly of Corporate Office Properties Trust and now principal of Forward by Design, LLC was recognized with the Life- time Achievement Award, and is the first woman to be so honored. Thirteen differ- ent commercial real estate leaders have been recognized since this award was conceived in 2000. Other individuals were presented with the Dis- tinguished Merit, Broker, Legislative, Rising Star, Ser- vice Provider and Volunteer Awards. “Despite challenging con- ditions and working in an extremely disrupted environ- ment, outstanding achieve- ments were completed in the commercial real estate indus- try in central Maryland that significantly contributed to the vibrancy of our region,” said Jim Lighthizer , president of NAIOP Maryland. “There were many worthy candidates this year and the judging committee had an extremely difficult task to choose the eventual winners. As corporate counsel, Batta- glia will be working closely with Raider Realty, Larken Associates’ in-house leasing team, to streamline the leas- ing process for the company’s almost 3 million s/f office, in - dustrial, and retail portfolio. Previously utilizing third-party attorneys for legal review of leasing documents, Larken Associates’ addition of Jessica provides its leasing team with added efficiency throughout all stages of the leasing process. In her new role, Battaglia will be tasked with conducting legal review of documentation per- taining to commercial tenants and their leases. Additionally, Battaglia will review tenant attorney comments and revi- sions throughout the lease ne- gotiation process. Battaglia will
