The organi- zation plans to use the space for a Habitat for Humanity ReStore, providing for the sale and display of construc- tion materials, furniture, and household furnishings to the local community. Revenue from Habitat ReStore pro- vides a source of sustainable funding for the construction and repair of homes through- out the county. The Habitat Bucks Home- ownership Program pro- vides an opportunity for low-income families to in- crease their independence and economic well-being through home ownership and educational opportuni- ties. Habitat families work hard for their homes; they contribute an average of 200 hours of sweat equity and will pay a mortgage for their home. Through their unique program, families acquire

a sense of ownership and responsibility that they may not have as renters or ten- ants. Since their founding in 1990, Habitat Bucks has built 100 affordable homes in Bucks County. Through their A Brush With Kind- ness program, Habitat Bucks makes repairs to the exterior of homes, including painting, porch repair and the instal- lation of handicapped acces- sible ramps.
