PLEASANT CORNER | Champlain Town- ship council members cost $194,242 in salaries and reimbursements last year, a slight drop from $200,863 in salaries and reimbursements the nine members were paid in 2012. Last year, the members received a total of $164,927 in pay, $28,035 for conven- tions and mileage allowances and $1,280 for other expenses. The previous year, members got a total of $171,547 in remu- neration and identical sums for convention costs, mileage and other related expenses. Each member was paid $3,115 $ for con- vention and mileage. Mayor Gary Barton was paid $39,600, including his $35,559 salary and $926 for other expenses. Councillor Paul-Émile Duval was paid $21,036, including $17,921 in pay. Councillor Helen MacLeod was paid $20,400, including her $17,285 salary. Councillor Pierre Perreault got $19,760, including his $16,508 salary and $137 for other expenses. Councillor Bernard Franche received $19,512, including $16,397 in remunera-
