Couch To 5k Running Programs Are you familiar with Couch to 5k Programs? These programs are an excellent way to leave behind a sedentary lifestyle and start getting active. The typical Couch to 5k running plan takes you from running 0 to 5K (3.1 miles) in a set amount of time. During this program, you will be running 3 times per week with rest days in between. The length of the program will depend on your baseline fitness level but will likely span from 4 to 9 weeks. Interval training is commonly used in these programs. This involves a run/walk method, which allows you to train for longer than if you ran continuously.
