Radio Correspondence Bible Class Numerous requests for a radio Bible class have been received. In response to these, a study hour similar to one previously conducted under the auspices of the Corre spondence School, will be held each Monday at 9:30 a.m., beginning November 3, 1930. Rev. Alan S. Pearce, secre tary of the Correspondence School, will teach a course in “ Personal and Practical Christian Work,” arranged by Dr; T. C. Horton, one of the founders of the Bible Insti tute and the originator of the Fishermen’s Club. An en rollment fee of $2.00 will be charged. This will cover the cost of a textbook and eight written examinations, and will entitle the student to a certificate, upon the satisfactory completion of the course. — o— Heard Over the Radio Among the most precious treasures of Christianity are the Gospel and the Epistles of John. Between the two is a very close connection, for they have a common theme: “ That eternal life which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us.” The Gospel contains the account of how that Life was incarnated and exemplified in the Lord Jesus Christ; and the Epistle reveals to us “ eternal life in action” in us. No one definition can compass the whole truth of eter nal life. It is not possible to compress it into an epigram. Yet, in this first chapter o f First John, is an exposition of the truth concerning this message in us. I. The Fact o f Life. Eternal life is not a set of principles, but a dynamic power. In Christ it was manifested audibly, visibly, and
tangibly. Eternal life was actually revealed to men in the person of Christ. II. The Fellowship o f Life. Yet, unless this eternal life enters into our personal ex perience, it would have no appeal to us other than that of historic fact. John gives us here: 1. The Content of Fellowship. Eternal life is not merely unending existence, but is fellowship with God. “ This is eternal life, that they may
