Accident mortel à Casselman
On Friday, September 29, a fatal collision occured at the intersection of Laflèche Boulevard and Principale Street in the Village of Casselman. Upon arrival, the investigation determined that a pedestrian was struck by a transport truck. The pedestrian, Robert Facette, 46 years old, of Casselman, was found deceased at the scene. The Prescott-Russell Emergency Services and the Casselman Fire Department assisted officers at the scene. The investigation is assisted by OPP Traffic Collision Investigators. Principale Street was closed between Highway 417 and St-Isidore Road for approximately nine hours. The cause of the incident is still under investigation. —photo Vicky Charbonneau

soient prises afin d’améliorer la sécurité à cet endroit. Le maire de Casselman, Conrad Lama- deleine, a, d’une part, déploré l’inattention des automobilistes et des piétons à cette intersection et entend entreprendre des démarches concrètes.
« J’ai demandé à mon administrateur, par écrit, de contacter Marc Clermont des Comtés Unis, afin de faire une analyse de la configuration des lumières à cette inter- section et de comprendre pourquoi c’est arrivé », a affirméM. Lamadeleine lors d’un entretien téléphonique.
