maximum productivity and exceptional print quality. Sie- mens manufactures the machine’s electrical components and drive motors, all mechanical parts are manufactured in Italy and the machine is assembled in the Koenig & Bau- er|Celmacch facility here in Desenzano del Garda. Still, ‘People Over Profit’ Now, in its third generation of operation, John Morri- sette, grandson of the company’s founder, made a com- ment in the BCN article of October 6, 2025, but it is one that is still relevant and bears repeating: “We believe we have the best people—and now the best equipment—for the ambitious goals we’re trying to achieve in this market. It’s an ethos that has existed in this company for as long as I can remember, which is people over profit. We’re a family business, and that’s how we operate. We get to enjoy the luxury of having a long-term approach because after all, we’re not in the business to maximize profits, we’re in the business to maximize being profitable.”
ship with best-in-class organizations, bringing together the right technology, people, and capabilities to deliver real results.” Working in concert with the experts from Impact Imag- ing, Scott Mosely monitored ink performance for the ac- ceptance testing and made micro-adjustments to the ink to demonstrate the true print capability of the Chromoa- CUT High Tech. Gratitude And Thanks When asked about seeing his company’s new Koenig & Bauer|Celmacch ChromaCUT Rotary Die Cutter having been successfully tested and passing “with flying colors,” John Morrisette was emotional. “More than anything, I have a feeling of gratitude to see this process come to fruition here in Italy with our suppliers, colleagues and of course, our hosts, Rodolfo and Luca,” he said. “We at Morrisette Packaging can’t wait to see it up and running in
full production on our plant floor in Greensboro. With the Omega Magnus 230 Folder Gluer we purchased with the ChromaCUT High Tech, we will have succeeded in creat- ing something no one else in this industry…or on the North American continent has.” Accompanying Morrisette on the demo visit to Italy was Mike Bowman, Morrisette Packaging’s Technical Manager, who continued to be impressed the expansive graphics of the futuristic Koenig & Bauer press. “Both machines have been everything Kevin Erbe (Koenig & Bauer’s National Sales Manager) promised they would be…and more,” said Bowman. “From our first meeting at Drupa 2024, when Kevin introduced himself and his ‘selling through consulta- tion’ philosophy, to the completion of this successful start- up and demo here in Italy, Koenig & Bauer|Celmacch, its machinery, as well as its people, have been tremendous.” Erbe made a strong case as to the opportunities Koe- nig & Bauer|Celmacch’s machinery could present to a U.S. corrugated box maker. The ChromaCUT High Tech was engineered and developed according to the highest specifications and European quality standards to achieve 40 April 13, 2026 Koenig & Bauer|Celmacch technicians configuring the Chro- maCut for demo and testing.
With eight locations, 300 employees, including 65 sales reps, Morrisette Packaging is larger than the average North American independent corrugated box manufactur- er. The Koenig & Bauer|Celmacch Magnus folder gluer and the Xeikon Idera digital printer were installed in October 2025, and the ChromaCUT High Tech 8-color rotary die cutter will be installed this month. Morrisette expects the entire corrugated sheet plant to be fully operational by June of 2026. With the installation of the Koenig & Bau- er|Celmacch ChromaCUT High Tech, the final piece of its machine family will be in place, Morrisette Packaging will be poised to take the North American printed corrugated market to the next level of success.
