Siegwerk to Acquire Hi-Tech Inks
Siegwerk, a global provider of printing inks and coatings for packaging applications, has signed a definite agreement for the acqui- sition of Hi-Tech Inks, an Indian producer of flexographic and gravure printing inks.
Garlock Flexibles and C-P Flexible Packaging, now Garlock/C-P, have announced progress in integrating operations, strengthening custom- er support functions, and optimizing their manufacturing footprint. Gar- lock Flexibles and C-P Flexible Packaging completed their merger in October 2025. The combined company operates 10 manufacturing facilities across the United States and Canada and serves many of the region’s leading
Hi-Tech Inks will add a portfolio of solvent- and water-based inks, metallic and special-ef- fect inks, varnishes, and over print varnishes (OPVs) to Siegwerk’s global portfolio. The integration will enhance Siegwerk’s manufac- turing footprint in India with dual sites in Bhi- wadi, Rajasthan and Vapi, Gujarat. The com- bined organization will employ approximately 1,700 people across India. The addition of Hi-Tech Inks is Siegwerk’s largest acquisition since its purchase of SIC- PA’s packaging inks business in 2005. Since closing the merger, the new company has: • Completed the integration of core business functions. This in- cludes R&D, technical, field service, and in-house platemaking and graphics. • Strengthened customer-facing and support functions. The com- pany is adding headcount in customer service and key support areas. These include costing, estimating, quoting, finance, and IT to improve speed, visibility, and execution. • Consolidated select manufacturing activities to improve asset uti- lization and long-term competitiveness.
