And it’s that directness that helped Utting into her current role, heading up a 20 plus team across global offices in the UK, US and Australia. In 2017, Utting headed into an appraisal with then-MD Daniel Curtis – and told him she wanted his job. “I’d pretty much done all the roles,” she explains. “I could either go somewhere else or get to the top.
