up until 2am to deliver their sessions. As many of our delegates are still busy, we

teammakes us feel so welcome, which is why we like them so much. e guys on the front desk

made our conference materials available to download for three months, so they can access them when they need them. It worked well, and I think moving forward we’ll have more of a hybrid oering. Nevertheless, we are planning to return to the QEII Centre in November for our Winter Meeting. e London venue has been our traditional winter home for the last 27 years and it’s such a deeply embedded tradition in the society that if it’s winter you’ll go to the QEII Centre, see your pals and do a bit of Christmas shopping. As an organisation, QEII is really, really dedicated to getting our conference right and the

recognise sta and delegates as do some of the catering sta. When you go in the centre you get the feeling that people care about it. at is why we are hoping to go back for our live event there again later this year. Re-scheduling a conference for respiratory specialists during the coronavirus pandemic and taking it online for the rst time has been a huge challenge for our charity, but the exibility and support shown by the team at the QEII Centre made it much less stressful and enabled us to continue our valuable work. ere is something to be said for long relationships in the event industry and this has been made apparent to us at the BTS this year.
